leadership

The leadership consists of a reformed pastor, the co-founder of the seminar and a person with a business background. We love to accompany people and to be on the road with them for a part of the way

spiritual home

The Master's Commission is part of the national church community Jahu, which is an independent part of the reformed national church of Switzerland with a focus on ecumenism. jahu started in 1974 with twelve young people and a local pastor. He invited them to a confirmation summer camp where the tough young people had an encounter with God.

As a meeting place for their new youth group, they rented a house with their apprentice wages. The house belonged to a teacher, Mr. Jaberg. Because the group met in the Jaberg house, they began to call themselves "jahu" youth group. From the beginning, the call to serve in all spheres of society was present. We all invested a lot of time and energy to be equipped and trained for service in the world. We visited discipleship schools, started different courses ourselves, had a touring dance group, a rock band, a café and many other initiatives. In the 90s we founded an Institute for Biblical Reform with a strategic life training and a course for business people. In those years we also started a private school with now more than 100 children. In 2007 we were able to move into a larger building, where church services, offices and seminars, apartments and the school are all in one place. This is an expression of our belief that faith touches every area of our society. Since 2014, the Study Center for Faith and Society at the University of Fribourg has been an important partner for the theological education of students. In addition to many other things, the Study Center organizes annual study days where leading experts in theology from all denominations are invited to speak on current issues.

These focal points are incorporated into our school program in a variety of ways during the MC.
